Teen Moms
Most people look at being a teen parent as a disaster and that their son or daughters life is ruined because of it. I've watched my best friend be the best mother she can be and prove many wrong. Please let me know if you want to share your story and I can post it on here. It can be anon. As you see I added a forum to the site. Please check it out! Hope you like it :) Thanks for stopping by my site. Please please let me know what you think :)
Stories Of Real Teen Moms
Dear Teen Mom,
Okay so being completely honest, I have only had sex once, I was on birth control, and we used a condom. The condom did NOT break. That just goes to show that you can NEVER be completely safe :) Then I got pregnant, obviously :) I was surprised.. Very surprised... I literally took 10 pregnancy tests, all different brands! Me and Daniel have been together for 3 years, so it wasn't like it was someone I had just met. We were grateful though, that we had a strong relationship, and knew that we would stand by each other! :) So after I found out I was pregnant, me and Daniel got our whole family and friends together and told everyone at once. Everyone was extremely supportive ;) The appointment we found out the sex of the baby we found out that we were having twins, so at that point we decided their names, Aleahna Grace and Isabella Page. Of course we had our baby shower, and at the baby shower my parents told me and Daniel that we could live in their basement free of charge, which is great :) On June 23 I went into the hospital with contractions, I was having problems pushing so we had a c-section. After the 2nd baby came out the doctor was like you have 3 babies. I thought he was kidding until he pulled the third one out!! My initial reaction was we only have stuff for 2 babies! Then I was like Oh my gosh!! She doesn't have a name, so for the first hour of her life she didn't have a name, until me and Daniel decided upon Victoria Ann. I still haven't got to take my girls home yet, but I get to take 2 of them home today and then I get to take Victoria home Monday :) ~ Hillary Mae, 16yrs old |
Dear Teen Mom,
I was 17 when I found out I was pregnant. I was scared to tell my mom but my boyfriend at the time seemed supportive and things were good for awhile until i found out that he was the fake-st person I ever met. I never noticed it before he had a lying problem because he never seemed like the person who would lie considering he had a hard life being in foster care etc. and I supported him when he was 2 hours away at a foster home and could only see me 4 hours every two weeks. Anyways back to what I was saying it all started with a few text messages from other girls and he always made excuses that somehow I believed at the time which was stupid and it went from lying to stealing. Money would go missing here and there. Money I had for our daughters crib went missing and he accused me of losing it (which I also believed because I lose stuff a lot) but then he all of a sudden has a play station 3 he said he always had (which was a lie because I found the receipt.) Then finally my laptop went missing and once again I believed at the time he was telling the truth when he said he didn't touch it). The last straw was when I couldn't find him at his house and found out he was at a drug house smoking pot after SWEARING to me he would never ever do that he swear on our daughters life!! I walked in on him with the weed in his lap and he had the nerve to tell me it was never there. So I called us out on a break and said he needed time to sort out whats important me and his child or this downhill lifestyle he is living now. ( I was 6 months pregnant when that happened) and then in Jan. of 2011 I was in a good place I had been ignoring him for about 2 weeks and was focusing on my daughter and picking myself up. and I get a text message from and old friend of mine named Dustin. me and Dustin went way back we met when I was 15 and he was 20. he kinda had a thing for me but I never gave him the time of day. any-who he text me asked how I was being pregnant and all. and we go back and forth. Then Feb. 9th he said he loved me. Feb. 13 my daughter was born and he was at the hospital with me threw all the labor and was the first to hold my little girl. Then may 31st we got married and our life couldn't be happier and I'm expecting again :) My life is great and I want all girls who were I my situation to know that they are strong and should never put up with anything I did just because the father because out there somewhere there is a guy who will turn your life around and treat you how you should. ~Amber, 17yrs old |
Dear Teen Mom,
I was almost 16 when I got pregnant with the twins. I was late and really sick so AI took a pregnancy test and sure enough it was positive. I told my boyfriend and the we told our parents. To say my parents were pissed would be the understatement of the year. My dad stopped talking to me for awhile and everyone tried to get me yo abort. Abortion was out of the question and I new I couldn't go through with adoption. About a week before my first doctors apt at 7 weeks exactly I went into the ER because every time I sat or stood up I'd black out. They did an ultrasound and said "both sacks look great!" I asked him what he was talking about and he said Honey your having twins. This were crazy for the next nine months. We found out we were having one if each. I had contractions for the last 3 weeks of pregnancy but still managed my sophomore year of high school. On July 28th (35 weeks and 6 days) at 4 am my water broke. Everything else happened so fast and I delivered Brayden Andrew at 7:00 am. He weighed 5 lbs 15 oz. And at 7:02 am we welcomed 5 lb 6 oz Brynlee Lynn via C-section. The twins are doing great now. Brayden has had some lung and oxygen problems but is doing better now. And now I will be going into my senior year and moving in with my boyfriend/the twins dad after school. We are currently living with my mom.
